Supporting our ISIC Ambassadors during Corona

What a great week spent filming for our ISIC Ambassadors and catching up during our regular Wednesday zoom session!!! On Tuesday visited the back beach at Sorrento to film a rockpool ramble. The rockpool ramble also included a litter collection and we were shocked to see so many Nurdles (pre-production plastic pellets used to make plastic goods) washed up on the shore of this fairly remote beach!  We then headed to Blairgowrie bayside to film our seagrass collection activity, and the conditions were so stunning we just had to visit Blairgowrie Marina to check if the annual aggregation of Spider crabs had arrived…they have not arrived yet, but we will be there to film them when they gather in their thousands to moult under the pier at Blairgowrie! We also had a fantastic catch up with our awesome Ambassadors on Wednesday to discuss issues such as the types of litter we are finding during this quarantine time, and our Ambassadors had so many great ideas about how we can reduce our plastic consumption!!  Stay tuned for upcoming videos and photos on our website, and next week’s I SEA I CHAT session will cover all things recycling!!  Till then stay safe and continue to spread the conservation message far and wide, and remember we are there for you!!!
