CASEY AMBASSADORS OFF TO A FLYING START!!

We had a fantastic term 1 with lots of learning and laughter for our Peer Teaching Workshops! After teaching some tips and tricks for effective communication, Mandy, Jacqui and Chris taught the Ambassadors a range of engaging ocean-related activities and had their rapt attention when talking about the fascinating facts about some of the species that live in our local bays.

The Ambassadors practised teaching the activities, and there was laughter from all as they supported each other through the different activities. The Ambassadors then became the teachers, and did an excellent job of teaching the younger grades about the marine environment and the actions we can all take to help protect it!

It is so rewarding to watch the Ambassadors gain confidence in just a few hours to learn and then effectively teach the marine activities to their younger cohorts, and their support for each other was wonderful! Thank you SO much to the City of Casey, and to Pearcedale and Botanic Ridge Primary Schools for hosting, and to the wonderful ISCI teachers, parents and carers for transporting Ambassadors.
