COASTAL WORKSHOP AT JACKS BEACH
We had a great Coastal Workshop at Jacks Beach Reserve for our Mornington Peninsula Ambassadors!  Our fantastic partners Anthony and his team from Nature Links and Hannah from the @Mornington Peninsula Shire conducted a walk, talk and taste session, followed by a weeding workshop where they identified and discussed a range of indigenous and non-indigenous animals and plants in the area and then did a spot of weeding. We were so inspired by the Ambassadors taking to the weeding with gusto and it is amazing to see the positive impact our years of ISIC weeding in this area have had on the native flora and fauna!
Jacqui conducted a Sand-Sort and Ambassadors raced each other to  identify and name the sources of marine debris items.  Mandy then led Ambassadors on a walk to the mangroves at Jacks Beach to discuss the history of this special place, and then guided Ambassadors through a great Climate Change game.
We finished off with a barbeque thanks so much to DRI’s Jess and finally the awards session with a big congratulations to all of our Excellence Award recipients!
As always thank you SO much to our partners at @ourpeninsula and Naturelinks, and a huge thank you to our ISIC teachers and parent/carers for giving up their time to support and transport the Ambassadors to the workshops throughout the year, without you this program would not be possible!
