WHALE TALES COME TO LIGHT AT CAPE SCHANCK – JUNE 29
Ever wondered how or when to see whales on the Mornington Peninsula coast?
Why not join us for an opportunity to hear from the expert team of scientists at the Two Bays Whale Project and Dolphin Research Institute about the whales of Victoria and how to find them.
Joining this event will be expert local wildlife photographer and whale enthusiast, Ben Eriksson. This experience will include a 30-minute presentation on local whale species and how to spot them followed by a 45-minute, hands on guided whale search from the picturesque cliff tops below the historic Cape Schanck Lighthouse.
This day coincides with the National ORRCA whale census day. This means that every whale counted throughout the day will be added to the National count!
June 29th is also the 166th anniversary of the first Cape Schanck Lighthouse illumination. Lighthouse Tours will be running throughout the day.
We will be running three sessions on June 29th at 10am, 12pm and 2pm
In a record time of under 48 hours we are SOLD OUT for this event. If you are interested in joining the waiting list you can join below through “Book Whale Tales Come To Light”. Stay tuned for any more updates.
Lighthouse Tours are still available for booking.
