Description
Baden Croft is an emerging artist based on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. His practice is influenced by life on the Australian coast where he spends endless hours surfing and exploring the native flora and fauna. With a deep connection to the natural environment, Baden’s subject matter spans from native eucalyptus and floral arrangements to endangered wildlife and geometric interiors. In thick, textured oil paint up to 3cm deep, Baden’s work comes to life with depth, movement and subtle plays on perspective. Unexpected additions of windows and shifts between the inside/outside frame his subjects and draw the eye to many different focal points around his canvases.Since Baden’s first solo exhibition in 2017 his paintings have been greatly appreciated and are now recognised and sought after by art collectors and interior designers. Baden has exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in Sydney and Melbourne and his works are held in private collections around Australia.
