We had a great day yesterday with Padua Year 9 students talking all things dolphins, single use plastic and how they can act to help their local environment! The day began with a litter/food packaging presentation with Mandy at school, then we all headed off down to Mornington Pier for a lesson with Russell on dolphin spotting using our scientific binoculars. The students finished the day off by collecting a huge amount of marine debris during their litter collect, sort and report session! Everyone had a great day and the students now have a deeper understanding of the issues our beautiful dolphins face, how to identify the sources of discarded plastic, and the many ways they can reduce their plastic consumption to help our precious marine environment. Thanks so Much to Chloe Brownscombe at Padua for organising this session for her lucky students!
