Hi David,
I heard you on ABC radio this morning and thought I would share some orca sightings information.
Recently my wife and I were house minding my brother in law’s cliff top house at Lake Tyers Beach in East Gippsland.
Last Saturday week (8 July ) we spotted an orca wallowing just off the bar for about 20 minute then it disappeared.
The wind was offshore so the sea was quite flat and easily spotted.
We house sat the same time last year and saw a pair of orcas in the same area for about 4 hours which brought the locals out.
We are real city slickers from Brunswick and somehow thought this was common but it appears we were very lucky to see such a great sighting.
Regards Tony
