Whether you’ve been lucky enough to spot them at sea or have only admired them through photos and social media, killer whales capture peoples curisotiy like few other creatures.

Since 1994, Killer Whales Australia has worked to better understand the movement patterns, population size and individual associations of killer whales in Eastern Australian waters.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of our small research team (just two people whose time is shared across multiple research projects) and the incredible contributions of citizen scientists and volunteers, this work continues to grow and evolve.

We need your help to keep this vital research going.

We receive no government funding for this work. All of our research, including this project, the Port Phillip Common Dolphin Project, and the Two Bays Whale Project, relies on donations from our amazing community.

Your donation today will help us continue to learn more about these fascinating killer whales, monitor long-term changes, and ensure that our marine wildlife is protected in the future.

Donate below to be part of the story.
Together, we can protect what we love.

Our promise to you is that we will always strive to achieve a lasting impact on behalf of our donors and the communities we serve.
