The Dolphin Research Education Team has visited a different I SEA I CARE Ambassador council area each day last week in celebration of World Environment Week! Our final day of workshop filming was on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula Shire. Our first stop was the fantastic Narambi Reserve in Mornington where Education Director Mandy Robertson talks about the values of this beautiful man-made wetland filtration system, which was built to trap litter and other pollutants from entering Port Phillip Bay. Our second stop was at Schnapper Point adjacent to the Mornington Pier, where Mandy explains how to use scientific binoculars to look for resident Common dolphins. Mandy also highlights some of the issues post-Corona with regards to litter on our piers and beaches. If you know of a school that would like to join our ISIC Ambassador Program, please ask them to contact the Education Team at Dolphin Research Institute.
