The Dolphin Research Education Team visited a different I SEA I CARE Ambassador council area each day last week in celebration of World Environment Week! On the first day, we visited the beautiful Tirhatuan Wetlands in the City of Greater Dandenong. In this clip Education Director Mandy Robertson discusses the importance of this wetland, not only from a social perspective as a place to recreate, but the essential role this wetland plays in filtering out pollutants from the stormwater drains in this residential area. Learning about the vital role of wetlands is an important part of the ISIC Ambassador program, where students learn about pollution issues and solutions. Enjoy watching the following clip and if you know of a school that would benefit from joining our ISIC Ambassador Program, please do not hesitate to contact the Education Team at Dolphin Research Institute.
