A great day for a great cause
Into our sixth year of Walk for Western Port and everyone at the Dolphin Research Institute is as excited as if it were our first!
Of course, our enthusiasm comes from experience – we know how much fun it will be.
On Sunday May 1st we will be hosting hundreds of people at the Hastings foreshore for a very dog-friendly walkathon. It’s just $10 per person or $25 per family (two big, two little), with registration on the day at 9:00 and ‘kick-off’ at 10:30.
Register on-line and miss the queues!
The course is a gentle walking circuit, wheel-chair and day-dreaming, bird-gazingly friendly. Whether you take the 4 km or 2 km option, we all end back at the starting point – where the entertainment continues. Back this year because they’re so wonderful are the fabulous Faery Emma and the extraordinary Totally Magic …
Also present are our super sausage (and more!) sizzle, delicious cakes from Brendans Cakes and for the die-hards, generous coffees from the Fresh Start Organic Cafe.
This is a fundraiser for DRI and our amazing research and education programs. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Remember to bring along your reusable cup and plate for the event! The less waste we create, the healthier our planet and oceans will be 🙂
