Thank you to the wonderful Ambassadors at St Catherine’s Primary School in Moorabin. They’ve done it again! Here is what they sent us – hope you enjoy it.
“On Monday 5th June we celebrated World Environment Day by a whole school dress up. Students participated by dressing up in blue and green (the colours of the sea) or as their favourite sea creature.
It was truly inspiring to see how both students and staff got involved in this worthy cause which climaxed with an impressive parade in front of the whole school.
We raised $156 from gold coin donations which we will be proudly donating to the Dolphin Research Institute. This money will support the important work the Institute undertakes including;Helping to care for our Port Phillip Bay’s living marine treasures including the Bottlenose Dolphin, implementing and maintaining marine education programs, and expanding the award-winning ‘i sea, i care’ Ambassador Program.
Our ISIC Ambassadors, Matthew, Xander, Alicia and Rohan spoke to the school explaining the importance that every student has in taking everyday actions to help protect our environment, like simply putting rubbish in the bin and joining in Nude Food Wednesdays! We all learnt that we can all play an important part if we change our thinking and really take care of the Earth.”
