Well over a hundred ‘i sea, i care‘ Ambassadors from schools in the Melbourne region had a great time learning about the marine environment recently. At one of Melbourne’s closest Marine Sanctuaries, Ricketts Point at Beaumaris, students from more than twenty schools learnt about biodiversity, pollution, catchments and the importance of marine protected areas.
Time was spent exploring rock pools – and discovering what lives in seagrass!
Ambassadors also found out that identifying dolphins is harder than they’d imagined.
Thanks to all the Ambassadors; we were so lucky with the weather, and your enthusiasm shone through as well! Especial thanks to Margaret Hewitt from the Beaumaris Life Saving Club.
