This workshop is on Tuesday, 5 June. Meet at Dandenong Basketball Stadium on Stud Rd, Dandenong, between 9 and 9.30am if possible so we can get an early start. There are minimal public toilets here so try to look at alternatives … (about 3 minutes drive away is Tirhatuan Park).
Here Ambassadors will be observing a litter trap emptying process, litter collection. Water testing is difficult, but we will see what we can organise!
The afternoon session will start at 12.30pm from Governor Rd boat ramp in Mordialloc, opposite the college. We will hopefully be conducting litter surveys for Tangaroa Blue and training you all up to do a street survey at your schools.
Ambassadors should be prepared for cold and wet conditions, with sturdy shoes that may get wet and muddy. Therefore a spare dry pair (with dry socks) is good OR a pair of gumboots, especially for the morning session. The afternoon is along a dry path.
They need to bring all food and drink for the day, plus notebooks and a camera if possible.
Also, if you have a white 2L ice cream container to look at water bugs in, please bring it!
