On Wednesday, 27 February Ambassadors from the Geelong region will discover some of the living marine treasures in Port Phillip, aboard the wonderful Moonraker.
The boat leaves Queenscliff at 9.30am and returns at 12pm. Please arrive 40 mins before departure and meet on the pier.
Cost for each person is $75 for a swim and $37 for a sightsee. Choice of payment is School Invoice (preferred) or cash on the day in a sealed and labelled envelope.
It is highly recommended that swimmers be competent and confident in the water. If there are any doubts, then they should sightsee instead.
All equipment provided but if you have your own long wetsuit/snorkel etc I recommend using them.
Bring bathers, towel, extra warm clothes (jacket or jumper) to put on in between swims, food and drink etc. There are often snacks (noodles etc) to buy on boat.
Weather conditions can be anything at this time of year so please come prepared for all possibilities. It can be cold on the boat when we are moving even on a warm day and there may be spray too.
We will be in close contact with the boat in the days before and let you know of any concerns or updates via email and also on the website
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THIS TRIP MAY BE CANCELLED DUE TO ADVERSE WEATHER. Efforts will be made to reschedule if possible.
