The first workshop for the Kingston Ambassadors is all about peer teaching. Because of the number of Ambassadors, it is split into three groups. This is to give every student the chance to fully participate in the activities.

First workshop: 9:30am Wednesday 21 February, at Mentone Primary School, 6 Childers Street, Mentone.

Second workshop: 9:30am Wednesday, 7 March at St Louis de Monfort School, 37 Dolphin Street, Aspendale.

Third Workshop: 9:30am Tuesday, 13 March at Our Lady of the Assumption School, 9 Centre Dandenong Road, Cheltenham.

Please try to arrive by 9.30am so that we can get a prompt start at 9.45am. Parking availability differs from school to school so we will endeavour to highlight the best options for you and/or the parents that are driving.

PLEASE NOTE that one responsible adult must be present at all times, however they can swap over during the day. Some parents have attended previous events unaware that they were required to stay and this caused a bit of angst at times, so please ensure your adult is fully aware of their commitment.

Ambassadors need to bring a notebook and pen or ipad to take notes on the day, plus the usual food and drink. DON’T FORGET – WE ARE AIMING FOR WORKSHOPS TO BE PLASTIC FREE!!!.

Host school will provide morning tea for teachers and parents!

Workshop will be finished by 2pm, if not earlier. This will depend on the timing of the host school’s timetable and will be advised in advance where possible.

If there are any changes/cancellations to these events, alerts will in future be posted onto our website and so I urge all teachers and parents to check it regularly.

Any queries, please phone 03 5979 7100.
