Recently, 27 Ambassadors from Silverton, Wooranna Park, Lyndale Greens and Chandler Park Primary Schools gathered for a day of peer teaching experience.

ISIC Dandenong PT 2017-1These are some of the most rewarding workshops for both educators and the Ambassadors, where the students are taught how to teach. The day is very busy with lots to learn and practise as by the end of the day, they will present a lesson themselves to a junior class about the ocean and how we can look after it.

It was a great session and the students did themselves and their schools proud.

ISIC Dandenong PT 2017-3The skills and confidence gained this term will serve them well for every future opportunity to present in front of their peers, and to champion the marine environment and the challenges it faces. Well done to all Ambassadors and many thanks to Em Emile-Blake for hosting.

Next term we will be heading to Yarraman Oaks Primary where Elissa Sewell will host the Ambassadors from Carwatha P-12 College as they join the Grade 5/6 students, all 50 of them, for another peer teaching workshop!!
