The Education Team had a hectic and rewarding time at the recent Mornington Peninsula Schools Environment Week, held at The Briars, Mornington. Thanks to Jacqui, Carolyn and Russell for being so enthusiastic over the four days (and thanks to Michelle, one of our volunteers, for helping make the event run so smoothly!).

Primary school students learnt about the environment, and how to care for it. Activities and interactive displays were in marquees in the Expo Paddock. Children were organised into groups of five with a teacher or parent supervisor.

MP Schools Env Week 2019The students visited activities according to their particular interests; horticulture, water conservation, marine studies, ecology, native fauna and flora, as well as community interest programs such as SPIFFA, CFA and friends groups.
