Ambassadors from six schools in the City of Greater Dandenong got up close to some of the living marine treasures in Port Phillip recently. They had an amazing time at Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary – and special thanks to DRI’s Jacqui for sharing her snorkelling skills with the super keen Ambassadors!
Victoria’s Marine National Parks and Sanctuaries are protected areas of our ocean and contain a wide diversity of species. At Ricketts Point the Ambassadors learnt about why these areas are so important, investigated the seagrass habitat and explored the rock pools.
Thanks to everyone who made this such a wonderful experience for these future marine champions. Read about other ‘i sea, i care‘ Ambassador regions here.
