Ambassadors Shine at City of Casey World Environment Day Event

Inspirational ‘i sea, i care’ Ambassadors last night shone as guest speakers for the City of Casey’s World Environment Day evening celebration.

The students from Rangebank and Lynbrook Primary schools spoke about the wonders of Western Port and their experiences as ambassadors.

This included their workshop to visit the world’s largest Australian Fur Seal colony and their training and experiences as peer teachers with junior classes in their schools.

Ambassadors teach real lessons in their schools about the wonders in our local marine environments.  They are given stories and images to use in their lessons.

DRI’s Education Director, Mandy Robertson provided insights into the working of the ‘i sea, i care’ School Ambassador Program and the experiences ambassadors had received.

Thank you to the City of Casey for supporting ‘i sea, i care’ and for the ambassadors’ schools, teachers and parents for their on-going support.
