The end of year celebration is almost upon us. As most of you know, it’s on Thursday 17 November at the Council Chambers in Magid Drive, Narre Warren.
You should be receiving an official invitation from the Mayor’s Office.
Arrive at 5.45pm for a 6pm start. The celebration will finish around 7pm.
There will likely be a host of local councillors, mayor, maybe an MP or two as we have the State Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for the Environment, Anthony Carbines, State member for Ivanhoe attending on behalf of the Minister.
Each Ambassador can bring one parent as before. Ambassadors should be in school uniform and we would like a few schools to stand up and present about the program, either a workshop they attended or what they have done at school as Ambassadors. Please indicate if interested and if I get more than 4 offers, I will let you know asap who I have chosen.
ONE MORE THING we would like if possible, for each school to make a small sculpture out of rubbish/recycling to represent marine or coastal themes to decorate the room with. In the past (above) we have done this and the MP’s etc have each chosen one to take with them.
