Josie Jones features on the front of the Western Port News with the poster she designed to promote this years Walk for Western Port on Sunday 22 October.

“Western Port’s remarkable living treasures are not appreciated by most Victorians. We want to change this because you don’t protect what you don’t value”, said Dolphin Research Institute’s Executive Director, Jeff Weir. “The event involves families from our ‘i sea, i care’ Ambassador schools and may locals.  We usually have teams of walkers from over 20 schools, community groups and businesses participating — many with four legs!”

The walk brings walkers from far and wide for a short walk in Hastings Park, or a longer guided experience through Warringine Coastal Reserve. They all go away having fun and a greater appreciation for the Wonders of Western Port.

Thanks to Josie and the Mornington Peninsula News for helping to promote the sixth annual event. Get your own poster at the link below.
