VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES

We value our role as a community organisation and understand the importance of offering opportunities for volunteers and interns to contribute to our work, whilst gaining valuable skills and experience.

Volunteers and interns play an integral role in our organisation, contributing to all areas of our work including fundraising, events, communication, research, citizen science, education and administration. We are extremely appreciative of the dedication demonstrated by our interns and volunteers in helping us achieve our impacts.

Internships and Tertiary Placements are offered on a limited basis for local students when the timing and resourcing allows.  Potential opportunities exist for science, social science, education and commerce students. We regret that we cannot offer placements to international students.

Secondary Work Experience is not currently offered due to our inability to provide quality and well-supervised experiences. We do provide many opportunities for secondary students through our more formal education and ‘i sea, i care’ programs.
