We value volunteer support
|
Anyone in the community can help us through the Community Dolphin Watch program. Even if you haven't yet Adopted-A-Dolphin, you can report dolphin sightings from all over coastal Victoria, particularly Port Phillip, Western Port and the Gippsland Lakes. You can help our research by giving us crucial 'dots on the map' to help us understand dolphins' movements and habitat needs.
Our Adopt-A-Dolphin members are crucial supporters of DRI's operation. Numbering over 1000, Adopt-A-Dolphin members are able to participate in a range of volunteer activities, such as:-
- helping with community festivals, parades and events such as the Great Australian Science Show.
- undertaking training and assisting with field research activities on land and on the water.
- assisting at DRI's Marine Research Centre, with our Research and Education Programs or even in the office.

Primary Schools Can Volunteer

For Primary Schools, the perfect way to get the whole class or even the whole school community involved is through the “i sea, i care”® School Ambassadors Project.
If you can think of other ways your volunteer support can help us, contact us.
