Research Programs of the Dolphin Research Institute

All of the Dolphin Research Institute's research programs are overseen by our eight member CSIRO approved Research Committee. The Committee is responsible for the development and regular review of a research plan that oversees the direction for all research activities.
The Institute's research programs are currently focussed in Port Phillip Bay, Westernport Bay and Victoria's Gippsland Lakes region.
Our programs are conducted under a Research Permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (NRE), a department of the Victorian State Government. Each year, the Institute has to report back to NRE outlining any data collected and results obtained under the permit, prior to having a new permit issued.
