The Dolphin Research Institute is a not for profit, community-based organisation. We work hard to ensure the well-being of dolphins and the marine environment.
While we get some small grants from Government, we are not a Government body - we rely solely on support from the community to function.
The Dolphin Research Institute is also listed on the Register of Environmental Organisations, with the Australian Government Department of the Environment and Heritage. We are a CSIRO "Approved Research Institute".

The “i sea, i care”® Community Champions Program is a new way for the community and businesses to support the Dolphin Research Institute’s crucial marine research, innovative education and balanced conservation services.

Our “Champions” may rest assured that their support achieves lasting, balanced and constructive outcomes.
